Nick Thiele, the newly elected chairman of the University of Missouri Extension Service, met with the Bollinger County Commission Monday morning to announce significant changes in procedures for the service during the coming year.
In order to increase MU Extension’s visibility throughout Bollinger County, the group will hold at least two meetings in locations other than Marble Hill.
On June 3, he said, MU Extension will meet in the Ag Building at Meadow Heights High School.
In July, at a date to be announced, Thiele said MU Extension will hold a workshop on feral hogs somewhere in Zalma. The speaker will bring with him an expert on buzzards, which he said are also a nuisance in the area.
