A multi-family yard sale and fish fry on Saturday, July 20, will benefit a women's help center in Patton.

The event will begain at 9 a.m. at Patton Outreach Church, 13 Rural Route 5, in Patton. The fish fry will be from 2 to 6 p.m., and the menu includes fish, baked beans, potato salad, dessert and drink for $12 per plate.

All proceeds will go to T's House, a "place for women coming out of rehabilitation programs, prisons or bad situations who need help finding a job, getting their license, taking their high school equivalency text ... budgeting classes learning how to manage money and keep up with bills and just getting reestablished in order to become a productive member of society".

Named for Thresia Ann Acorrd-Douglas, T's House is in a home formerly owned by Acorrd-Douglas, who battled substance abuse in her life. She died in 2020 from complications with COVID-19.

Sabrina Doublin serves as program director. Other officials with the organization are Ashley Wagner, secretary/treasurer; Kevin Mills, pastor; and Kimberly Joslin, house director. Patton Outreach Church is supporting the facility.
