Woodland High's boys' basketball team, led by five seniors, has started the season with a 6-0 record. Three of the early season victories have come against Bollinger County schools, as the Cardinals defeated Leopold twice and Meadow Heights once.

The Cardinals entered competition in the 2024 Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament with an overall record of 6-0 as they began the season with wins over Van Buren (80-73, Nov. 30), Leopold (76-31, Dec. 3), Meadow Heights (99-52, Dec. 6), Leopold again (71-39, Dec. 10), Bernie (56-41, Dec. 17) and Dexter (78-60, Dec. 20).

Following the Christmas tournament at the Show-Me-Center in Cape Girardeau, the Cardinals continue the 2025 portion of their schedule with road games at Oran (Jan. 3), Richland Essex (Jan. 7), Kelly (Jan. 10), Notre Dame (Jan. 11).

The squad’s next home game is Tuesday, Jan. 21, when they take on Bell City. The contest tips at approximately 7:30 p.m.
