Woman sustains injuries in single-vehicle accident Oct. 21

A woman sustained moderate injuries as a result of an Oct. 21 accident on State Supplemental Route A in Bollinger County approximately two miles east of Marquand, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Stormie D. Ivey, 34, of Cape Girardeau, westbound in a 2020 Dodge Journey, ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence as well as an embankment. She was not wearing a safety device, according to the crash report. Ivey was taken by ambulance to Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown after the accident which occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m.

The vehicle, which was a total loss, was towed from the scene by D & D Towing.
