Aubrey Cook is a senior at Meadow Heights High School. Cook is involved in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her friends and boyfriend.
After high school, Cook hopes to go to Renaissance Beauty Academy in Cape Girardeau. She plans on becoming an esthetician. Three things she would like to do in her life is to become a mom, travel to Greece, and be successful.
During school, you might see Cook alongside her best friend, Kristin Statler. Cook and Statler have been friends since they were babies. Statler describes her as supportive, caring and beautiful. “My favorite memory of us together is all of our double date nights we go on with our boyfriends.”
Throughout her life, Cook says her biggest inspiration has been her mom, Desirae Cook. “She has always been there for me and has pushed me to be my best.” As she comes upon graduation, her mother hopes that she puts God first in her life, and that she also does not “put her in a nursing home.” When asked what advice she would give to her daughter as she becomes an adult, Cook says “always be yourself and remember to laugh and soak up every moment of life because it goes fast.” Her favorite memories with her daughter are their lake days together.
Some advice Cook would give to incoming freshmen is to stay out of the high school drama.
