Meet Leah Carlson: a senior FFA member excelling in agriculture, sports, and leadership. From raising steers to competing in career events, Leah is set to pursue Nursing at Mineral Area College after graduation.

This week’s SAE spotlight is Leah Carlson, the daughter of Brent and Valerie Carlson of Patton. Leah is a fourth year, senior member of the Meadow Heights FFA Chapter and has earned her greenhand, chapter, and county degrees. She has been awarded the Chapter Leadership Award and competed on the district level horse judging, dairy foods, and floriculture career development events. Her supervised agriculture experience includes raising steers each year to show at SEMO District Fair and employment at Walmart. Other activities Leah is involved in include BETA, Smokebusters, FCCLA, Meadow Heights Volleyball, and the Perryville Volleyball Academy. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with family, friends, and Mason. After graduation plans include attending Mineral Area College for Nursing.
