The expectation is that McMikle, who was in Marble Hill over the weekend, is to start later this month.

The City is working on the logistics of the hiring, Whiffen said, adding that McMikle is likely to start full-time Monday, Sept. 16.

McMikle replaces former chief of police Kristin Nenninger, who resigned in August. Her last day with the department was Aug. 23.
