Leopold Beta Club shines with 11 new inductees and triumphs at the Leadership Summit, securing spots at Beta Nationals in Orlando. Discover their journey of character, leadership, and achievement.

The Leopold Beta Club has had a busy and successful start to their school year.

They started off with Beta Installation on Sept. 16, where 11 new members were officially inducted into the club. These new members were sophomores, Katlyn Arnzen, Cohen Beussink, Tommy Beussink, Fayelinn Brown, Dylan Jansen, Ashlynn Massa, Rylie Schreiner, Ashtyn Van de Ven, Malia VanderMierden, Merinne Wilson, and Chloe Wiseman.

All these new members pledged to be upstanding citizens and uphold the Beta standards of character, leadership, achievement, and service.

Then, on Sept. 25 and 26, a group of 15 Beta members went to the Beta Leadership Summit. There they competed in three competitions, Collaboration Connection, Lead Outside the Box, and Project Proposal. Seniors Shandy Elfrink, Madison Massa, and Taylor Schreckenberg, as well as junior Brenna Beussink and sophomores Rylie Schreiner and Merinne Wilson placed in the Collaboration Connection competition. In Project Proposal, seniors Lily Cook and Wil Seiler along with sophomores Katlyn Arnzen, Ashlynn Massa, and Ashtyn Van de Ven placed. And lastly, seniors Hallie Halter, Josh Horrell, and Wil Seiler, with the help of juniors Piper Lincoln and Elise VanderMierden, placed in Lead Outside the Box. All 15 of the bright young students are now able to go to Beta Nationals in Orlando, Florida.
