Among the many new faces that can be found floating around the halls of Leopold High School this school year from near and far, is a new, well-rounded teacher, a new staff member who teaches a range of classes from seventh grade science, first aid and officiating, strength and conditioning, kinesiology and personal finance and health — KC Henry.
Coming all the way from Wyoming, where he formally earned his associate degree in Pre-Allied Health, bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion and master’s degree in Health and Human Performance, Henry has a sparkling resume of accomplishments.
On top of all that he has already added to the school, he is also a new assistant basketball coach. With more than a considerable amount of experience in coaching, coming from coaching at multiple different colleges, including Division 1 basketball at the University of Wyoming, there is a great amount of excitement surrounding our new teacher. With all of the time he dedicates to these things, Henry still places value on spending time with his wife and two dogs.
One of his goals this year is to positively impact students in the classroom to have the knowledge needed for life.
When asked what advice he would give to students, Mr. Henry said, “Live with courage daily and always give your best effort.”
The best advice that Henry personally received is “Mistakes will always be made; just look to do the next right thing and learn from those mistakes.”
