The Bollinger County Comission was notified in 2020 by the State of Missouri that a low-water bridge on County Road 416 needed replaced.
Now, four years later, with no bids for the projects out yet, it is still awaiting guidance on what must be done to continue the process.
A phone conversation between all three commissioners, as well as engineering firm Smith & Company from Poplar Bluff ,took place Monday, July 29.
The commissioners were told the plans and specifications for the bridge which crosses over Dry Creek are "pretty much done," though it likely won't be until this fall that the project is put out for bid.
"I'm concerned somebody's going to get hurt out there," District 1 Commissioner Tim Shelby said.
