A cold evening was spent sitting in a warm gym listening to Christmas music classics at Leopold recently.

On Dec. 11, Leopold held their annual Christmas concert for kindergarten through 12th grade. The concert was held in the school gym, which was festively decorated for the holiday season.

To kick off the performances, music teacher and choir director Evan Johnston led the seventh and eighth graders in singing “Gaudete” and “Be Glad This Festive Day". Third and fourth graders followed up with their song, “Deck the Halls". Kindergarten through second grade students then came up and performed “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and “I’m Getting Nuttin’ for Christmas".

When fifth and sixth graders stood on the stage for their performance, they sang “O Tannenbaum” and “Christmas in 90 Seconds". Guests then got to enjoy the high school choir singing “On This Still, Silent Night” and “Sing a Glad Noel” with accompanist Chloe Wiseman on the piano.

The evening was finished off with all singers from the evening performing “Here Comes Santa Claus” where Santa himself made a grand appearance. As Santa was visited by children, the PTO handed out M&Ms and apples for all the children on the nice list.
